Chelsea have today confirmed that 19 year old right back has joined Blackburn Rovers on a months loan up until February 10th. Todd Kane has only just returned from loan at Preston North End where he made a total of 5 appearances.
The step up from League 1 to Championship level will be very positive for Todd providing he gets games. There is no doubt in my mind that Todd is more than capable of playing at Championship level but i do have reservations about Blackburn giving him the playing time he needs.
As is always the case with players going on loan it is all about finding the right club for the boys to play at, Chelsea have done this with McEachran (Middlesbrough) and Chalobah (Watford), will Blackburn Rovers be the place for Kane to start to become the player he can be?
Lets hope so.
Anyone wanting to see Todd Kane in action he will hopefully be playing in the televised game Friday night against Wolves.
